13:50 Cheltenham – San Salvador

Path d’Oroux was good off a break early on in his career but that hasn’t been the case recently so I’ll swerve him and side with San Salvador. He’s shown plenty of improvement in recent runs. He finished fourth behind the winner Jesse Evans and second-placed Shecouldbeanything at Galway last month and he can reverse the form with the latter. He has the fitness edge compared to Path d’Oroux at the top of the market so I’ll side with the better value pick.

10/3
San Salvador Win or Each Way

14:25 Cheltenham – Calico

I’m siding with Calico for the Skelton’s. His form ties in with the re-opposing Triple Trade, who beat him in November last year on good to soft ground. Calico is 1lb lower than his second that day over course and distance. Good ground is up his street and the way he’s ridden suits that ground. The Skelton yard is in good form too.

4/1
Calico Win or Each Way

14:43 Doncaster – Harpers Ferry

I’m siding with Harpers Ferry, who made his debut this time last year when finishing second at Newmarket. He followed that up with another second before winning at Windsor in April ahead of Poniros. He could be relatively unexposed and the soft ground will suit. Tom Marquand is back on board for trainer Ed Walker which is a bonus.

4/1
Harpers Ferry Win or Each Way

15:00 Cheltenham – Gale Mahler (NAP)

Gale Mahler was impressive when winning a listed hurdle at Galway in the summer. She’s the most likely winner and she looked like she had plenty left in the tank when going round Galway. She’s heading in the right direction and she just keeps on winning!

4/6
Gale Mahler Win or Each Way

15:18 Doncaster – Altmore

Altmore won at Pontefract earlier this month and he’s on for a three-timer. He’s gone up 11lbs for that but to say he won with 11lbs in hand is a massive understatement. He bolted up and they tried not to win by too far! He’s still well ahead of the handicapper off a mark of 87.

10/11
Altmore Win or Each Way

15:35 Cheltenham – Ceanndana

Ceanndana has been in good form and he did well to win at Sligo last time over 2m 1f, which was a lot shorter than the trips he’d been running at previously. He’s up to a mark of 121 in the UK after winning at Sligo but that mark is probably 115 or 116 in Ireland. He’s fit and ready to go which is a major plus. Lee Shanahan claims 7lbs for Ross O’Sullivan too. Atlanta Brave could be worth keeping an eye on as an each-way shout, especially with the form of the Kerry Lee yard. However, bear in mind that fitness usually plays a part and he hasn’t run since March.

11/2
Ceanndana Win or Each Way
