13:20 – Kyprios

KYPRIOS is back for revenge this time having gone down to Trawlerman in 2023. He’s in tip-top form and always looks like he has just that little bit more to give. He is the favourite and so he should be. Al Nayyir looks the only danger if he’s played very late.

13:55 – Bucanero Fuerte

BUCANERO FUERTE (each-way) was quietly fancied at Haydock after a lengthy lay off and went far too fast in the opening stages to have any opportunity of finishing out his race. He then ran very well on home soil over 5f but that proved too sharp. He’s already got some form at this particular venue in his juvenile days and he’s drawn in the ideal part of the track to be able to get a bit of cover early on, with speed drawn in stalls 12 and 13.

14:35 – Kalpana

KALPANA has long looked destined for the top table and it’s been a rapid climb through the ranks this season from a mark of 78 all the way up to 113 – she doesn’t look like stopping there! The only reason she is not tighter in the market is the ground is a bit of an unknown. If she overcomes that we could be looking at a champion

15:15 – Facteur Cheval

FACTEUR CHEVAL comes here fresher than most in the line up and has also been running on ground conditions that aren’t ideal. He was a distant second in this last year. When he was behind the favourite at the Royal meeting he was completely on the wrong side of the track. Now he can let the pace setters get on with it and produce late.

15:55 – Economics

ECONOMICS could he potentially be the best three-year-old we have seen. Let’s hope all the signs are right as he brings a fantastic profile, including when having a wide passage over in Ireland and still managing to overcome that despite inexperience. Nashwa might nick a place at huge odds.

16:35 – Lattam

I’m not sure what has kept LATTAM off the track for 114 days but at least he has a very good profile. The only problem is getting a clear passage as he is such a long racehorse that any interruption in his momentum can prove very costly indeed. Ryan Sexton just needs one clear long run through the final quarter mile to land this massive pot.
