13:20 – Al Nayyir (each-way)
Kyprios is the most likely winner but there’s value in backing Al Nayyir as an each-way shout. He loves going on an easy surface and he won at Newmarket last time out. He’s impressed since switching to Tom Clover and Al Nayyir could give Kyprios the most to do.
13:55 – Flora Of Bermuda (each-way)
Kind Of Blue, Art Power, Swingalong and Bucanero Fuerte are the pace angles so you want to be drawn middle to high. I’ve landed on Flora Of Bermuda, who was unlucky in the Haydock Sprint Cup last time out in September. He failed to get a run and he has form on soft ground. He’s a decent price too.
14:35 – Village Voice (each-way) (NAP)
I’m against Kalpana purely on the ground so I’m siding with Village Voice at a big price. She beat Jackie Oh last year at Ascot and has won twice on testing ground at Saint-Cloud. Cristian Demuro takes the ride after winning on her last time out. I’ll side with her.
15:15 – Metropolitan (each-way)
Charyn is the obvious answer to the puzzle. He probably should have won at Longchamp last time out and he has form on soft ground. He’s a short price though so I’m with Metropolitan. He had a good run behind Rosallion in the St James’s Palace at Royal Ascot in the summer and he beat Dancing Gemini in the French 2000 Guineas at Longchamp. He can show plenty of improvement.
15:55 – Calandagan
I’m with Calandagan. He’s a hold-up horse and I’m not too worried about his draw in stall one. I was really impressed with Economics’ win ahead of Auguste Rodin at Leopardstown last month but he got the best ride in the race. He could be a superstar in the making but I’m siding with Calandagan. Iresine, the other French runner, could be value to place.
16:35 – State Actor
I’ve liked State Actor all year so I’ll stick with him once again. He has form on soft ground and he’ll be fine in stall two as I can’t really decide where the pace is in here. There is a huge race in him and I’m hoping it’s on Saturday!
