13:50 Punchestown – Cappucino (Racing Post)
Having looked an improved horse when making a winning return in a Listowel bumper recently, CAPPUCINO (nap) can get off the mark over hurdles on a third start in this sphere. The Mediator has had plenty of chances in maiden hurdles and might fall short again. Colonel Nelson is of interest and is worth a check in the market.
14:15 Nottingham – Archivist (Daily Telegraph)
Ralph Beckett, who won a division of this race in 2022 and also landed the prize last year, has two interesting contenders in New York Minute and the well-bred newcomer Smoken. They both need a close look, while Andrew Balding’s debutant Displaying also catches the eye, but it’s hard to get away from ARCHIVIST. Sir Michael Stoute’s colt set the standard on his clear second behind a smart rival at Newmarket 19 days ago and is open to more progress on this step up in trip.
14:45 Nottingham – Miss Wong (Racing Post)
This may well be decided between MISS WONG, whose debut looked easily the most promising effort among those who have run, and Revoir who catches the eye among the newcomers. Magic Runner is another debutante to check out.
16:13 Kempton – Archivist (The Times)
A low-key opener at Kempton. With Keep Singing and Freak Encounter not involved, the form pick is George Boughey’s MONTBELIARDE, who ran well behind an odds-on favourite over 7f here on his penultimate start and had an excuse (badly hampered) at Salisbury subsequently.
