15:15 Yarmouth – Laurens Dream (Racing Post)
There’s little to choose between Under The Sea and Al Waseela on Leicester running five weeks ago and both have claims, along with Wolverhampton runner-up Mystified. Today’s different ground conditions should be fine for Unex Friendly on pedigree but the vote goes to the well-related LAURENS DREAM, who offered more upped from 5f last time and starts nursery life on a workable mark.
15:35 Market Rasen – Western Glen (Daily Mirror)
There aren’t many appealing options in this line-up but one exception is WESTERN GLEN, who comes here after three good efforts at Perth. Dan Skelton’s handicap debutante Queens Venture is open to improvement and will be feared if strong in the betting, while The Midwife won off 2lb higher here last season and is also considered.
16:58 Newcastle – Liseo (Racing Post Spotlight)
Celtic Warrior has done well in his few goes on the AW and represents a stable with a good record here, while Up The Jazz would need consideration if reproducing last week’s Ayr performance. The unexposed Lordsbridge Blu and No Surrender are also worth a second look, but the vote goes to LISEO who has dropped 4lb below his last winning mark and ran well in his only visit here.
17:03 Leicester – Pearle Dor (The Sun)
His record fresh is not overly encouraging but PEARLE D’OR hasn’t been running badly this season on ground too fast and he’s worth chancing. Spirit Genie is always a solid proposition under these conditions and his Hamilton form was franked at the weekend. Mahato is dangerously unexposed as a handicap newcomer from the Haggas yard. Others have their chance in a competitive race.
