Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

14:25 Goodwood – Wicket Keeper (The Star)

Qetaifan (second choice) sets a clear standard after his Chester win, and that was on heavy ground. He’s not passed over at all lightly but WICKET KEEPER showed enough on his Newbury debut to suggest that he can put up serious resistance granted some improvement, which also seems likely from the Beverley fourth Just King High. Trouble in running means that Dannick is better than the bare result at Sandown but it’s hard to say whether that will be enough.

15:25 Naas – Romzina (The Irish Sun)

Quite a few have claims in this Listed heat. Caught You Looking should win on ratings but she has questions to answer regarding the suitability of this trip. Ameerat Jumaira is progressive and should go well, as should Belhaven but preference is for the unexposed ROMZINA. She had a few of these behind when runner up on her first try in this grade at Galway, despite racing keenly, and if the first-time hood helps her to settle better, there could be plenty more to come.

15:55 Ffos Las – Steel Ally (Daily Express)

A few of these are open to improvement this season but the most appealing one is STEEL ALLY, who ran a big race from the front when third in a very competitive novice handicap at Sandown at the end of last season.

His stablemate Lump Sum was a Grade 2 novice winner last season and may provide the main threat. Pembroke switches back to hurdling on a good mark and is next on the list, while Black Hawk Eagle may resume the improvement he showed for Kerry Lee last winter.

16:20 Cork – Calico (Spotlight)

The Banger Doyle has solid claims on the strength of his latest effort, but a chance is taken on CALICO, who may have more to offer over fences. Grange Walk is temptingly handicapped but needs to turn a corner.
