MOCKIRR was third behind the reopposing Maid In Chelsea at Wolverhampton a couple of weeks ago but is taken to reverse that form on 7lb better terms for a two-and-a-quarter-length defeat.
Mockirr’s latest effort represented a big step forward on what he had shown on debut and, in excellent hands with William Haggas, he is entitled to progress again.

APPLE A DEY has been disappointing the last two times after making an encouraging start for Mark Hoad when a close-up third at Kempton. However, she’s fallen in the weights as a result, and it’s worth noting that she ran well to finish third in a Tipperary maiden for her former yard on her only previous outing on soft ground, so it’s worth taking a chance that she’ll bounce back.

RIKISSA was unable to reward strong support when sent off 7/4 favourite for a Newbury maiden last month, but she shaped with promise in third and is entitled to do better with that run under her belt.
Rikissa is out of a useful sprinting mare, so she is unlikely to be inconvenienced by the drop back to six furlongs here, and she should launch a bold bid for the Ralph Beckett stable that continues in flying form.
15:12 Thankuappreciate
THANKUAPPRECIATE has only one win to his name, and that was achieved in 2022, but he has gone close on a couple of occasions this season, including last time when beaten only a neck in second at Chester.
He’s edged up only 1lb for that effort, which was just about his best of the season, and he can give another good account of himself. It’s worth noting that he was a good second here last season off a 6lb higher mark on his only previous outing at Windsor.
15:42 Galactic Glow
GALACTIC GLOW is on a losing run of 16 that stretches back to 2023 but he’s dropped in the weights and has been back in form of late, running creditably on his last three starts. He’s now only 1lb higher than for his last handicap victory and is effective on testing ground, so he can make his presence felt. Blinkers replace cheekpieces in a bid to eke out extra.
16:15 Zambezi Magic
ZAMBEZI MAGIC made it two wins from his last three starts, justifying strong support in the process when staying on well to score at Ffos Las last time.
He was well on top at the finish there, passing the post with a two-and-a-half-length advantage, and a 5lb rise in the weights still leaves him looking well treated based on his old form. He’s clearly in excellent order at present and is effective on testing ground, so he looks to have a good deal in his favour.
16:50 Albus Anne
ALBUS ANNE has responded well to the application of a hood and has won both starts since headgear was applied. Albus Anne was well on top at the line in a mile handicap at Bath and she then proved better than ever to follow up off a 4lb higher mark over that course and distance a couple of weeks ago.
She only needed a hands-and-heels ride to assert herself, so a further 5lb rise in the weights may not be enough to stop this in-form mare from completing the hat trick.
17:25 World of Darcy
WORLD OF DARCY had been out of form but with blinkers back on and faced with some cut in the ground, he took advantage of a plummeting mark at Yarmouth last week. He was well on top there and is very well treated based on last season’s form, so he could prove difficult to beat under a 6lb penalty.
