Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

13:50 Newmarket – Too Soon (The Times)

It’s a hard choice in this promising field. Aidan O’Brien, who must have so many possible candidates for this race, sends out Shackleton and County Mayo, with the former seemingly his first string, given that Ryan Moore takes the ride. Slight preference, though, is for the Gary and Josh Moore-trained TOO SOON, who left a positive impression with the way he got on top in a slog at Epsom. Green Storm might be best of the rest.

15:20 Chepstow – Doyen Quest (Daily Record)

Dan Skelton’s progressive 6-year-old DOYEN QUEST produced a good late surge to hit the front in a slow run race at Cheltenham in the spring and is probably still well handicapped after a 3lb rise. He remains unexposed over this sort of trip and gets the verdict ahead of Jipcot, who ran a big race when placed off today’s mark in the Imperial Cup at Sandown in March.

Tune In A Box has been treated very sternly by the handicapper for his Punchestown festival romp, but he might still be improving. Act Of Authority and Crebilly are others to consider.

16:20 Hexham – Kandor (Spotlight)

Supremely West is hard to knock other than for lacking a run, while Dinons and Skyjack Hijack (second choice) arrive here with their tails up. However, KANDOR has to be of interest on his handicap debut, and there’s good reason to believe that he’ll stay this longer trip.

17:20 Chelmsford – Baraq (Daily Mail)

Mark Prescott’s BARAQ has been a different proposition since being allowed to stride on and can complete a quick hat-trick. King Of Charm arrives in form and is second choice ahead of Charming Whisper.
