As regards the runners who already have AW experience, topweight GILET holds a particularly strong chance. Antonin Dvorak (second choice) and Master Technician are likely dangers provided they take to the surface, while Welsh Fizz looks best of the newcomers.

Having taken so well to this surface, TWITCH may complete a C&D hat-trick. Lady Wingalong, who holds solid claims, is second choice ahead of Dumfries who has possibilities in the retained blinkers. Wilde And Dandy and Drafted are interesting back on AW.
17:20 Baraq (NAP)
Sir Mark Prescott’s BARAQ (nap) has been a different proposition since being allowed to stride on and can complete a quick hat-trick. King Of Charm arrives in form and is second choice ahead of Charming Whisper.
17:50 H Key Lails
The C&D handicap in which Bold Suitor and H KEY LAILS came right away last month may hold the key and the latter is selected to come out on top this time under Kaiya Fraser, who’s enjoyed an excellent run of form over the past month or so. Havana Smoke’s propensity to hang left is offputting from a wide stall, but Fariha should go well if settling early upped from 7f.
18:20 Many A Star
Dark Side Thunder should be suited by the likely strong pace with Regal Envoy and Princess Shabnam both positioned to make a dash for it from the two lowest stalls but this more turning track will be unfamiliar territory for him. Preference is for MANY A STAR, who is unexposed on Polytrack and another who will appreciate a good gallop.
18:50 Nemov
A few of these have AW races in them but the most interesting runners today are the up-and-coming 3yos American Bay and NEMOV. The former was unable to do himself justice in his latest turf handicap but he should have more to give off this mark back on the AW after a routine win in a 6f novice. Nemov would be unwise to give American Bay too much early rope but he impressed at Kempton recently and a 9lb rise may not be enough to stop him. Jimmy Speaking may be best of the remainder.
19:20 Araifjan
On the back of an encouraging effort, ARAIFJAN could well take advantage of a very handy mark and record a fifth C&D success. Doves Of Peace, who scored last Saturday and holds solid claims, is second choice ahead of Time Patrol who was a strong finisher returned to AW last time.
19:50 Papa Don’t Preach
This revolves around Marching Mac who escapes a penalty for a wide-margin victory at Brighton on Tuesday. If he repeats the form he should follow up, but there’s a doubt about his effectiveness on the AW, and instead a chance is taken on the blinkered PAPA DON’T PREACH, for whom Joe Leavy is a positive booking. Colors Of Freedom (second choice) and Man On A Mission are others to consider.
20:20 Early Morning Dew
A record of two wins, including over C&D, and two seconds from four runs in headgear is an obvious positive with EARLY MORNING DEW, who didn’t quite see out 1m3f on Tapeta last time and has plenty in his favour. The hat-trick chasing Mc’ted goes well here, as does Nasim (second choice), who arrives on a career-low mark having not stayed 1m4f last time.
