Prada On Parole (second choice) ran well in defeat at Brighton recently, but that was over 6f on soft turf, and she faces a different test here. Pure Liberty and Miakoda have possibilities, but it might be worth chancing the headstrong filly KAMEKO SPIRIT. Attempts to get her settled at the rear of the field in her last two races proved unsuccessful, but she showed some good speed in a good Newmarket novice on her debut and, with cheekpieces now added, could take some catching if allowed to bowl along in front.

Topweight LAZIEELUNCH was treated quite sternly by the handicapper for his recent Lingfield success but he did that quite cosily and the runner-up is also progressive, so he might well be able to complete his hat-trick here. Recent Thirsk winner Cymbidium had a go at Ayr on Friday but will be respected if she runs here as well. Otherwise, Pistrucci will be second pick.
17:25 Jiffs Army
His outside draw is not ideal but Epsom runner-up JIFFS ARMY can be excused his recent lesser effort on soft ground and is taken to open his account at the fourth attempt. Nahash stuck to his task pretty well when third on his Chelmsford debut and is second choice, while Minelone and Tattie Bogle may fare best of the newcomers.
17:55 Uppercase
A weak race and money for any of the newcomers would look significant. Metro Dubai isn’t progressing and, although he has obvious form claims, it could be that Herb Fennel and UPPERCASE can improve past him. The selection shaped with considerable promise at Kempton on debut and that form is working out better than might have been expected. He’s drawn widest but could still be up to the task.
18:30 Thoughtful Gift
Whoop Whoop has won her last two and is not opposed lightly, but THOUGHTFUL GIFT looked in excellent nick when scoring at Lingfield recently and is preferred. Never Fear has become wildly inconsistent, but will be hard to beat off her current mark if she happens to be in the right mood. Noisy Music might also feature.
19:00 South Dakota Sioux
Off a very handy mark and with Kaiya Fraser taking off a bonus 5lb, SOUTH DAKOTA SIOUX could well record a first success since joining John Butler. Interesting handicap debutant Dawn Success (second choice) has to be feared, particularly if strong in the betting. Mintana, Port Noir and Hawajes have solid-looking claims, while Cobh Harbour is interesting returned to Wolverhampton.
19:30 Charlottes Web (NAP)
Triple course winners Master Of Combat and Precision Storm return to Tapeta on fair marks after sketchy spells on turf and both ought to fare better. Yeoman holds obvious claims as long as his stamina holds, but the vote goes to CHARLOTTES WEB (NAP), who caught the eye in a C&D novice last month before failing to stay 1m2f on soft ground next time.
20:00 Kitten Gloves
Phoenix Beach, who arrives in good form and will appreciate the step back up to 6f, and last weekend’s Lingfield winner Melisende both have claims. Lightly raced Irish import Galel is the one to watch in the market, but otherwise, KITTEN GLOVES looks on a fair mark now, having been drawn wide on her comeback here in June.
20:30 Pysanka
This isn’t particularly competitive and PYSANKA, who returned from a break with a solid effort at Windsor this month, has every chance of registering a fourth C&D victory. Recent Jersey winner Kojin, who ran well a couple of times off higher marks on turf in the spring, is second choice.
