13:15 Ayr – Revich

REVICH won this race last year from a perch much higher than his mark of 88 now. He hasn’t taken advantage of his lowly rating recently and was drawn a little wide at Chester last time. I’ll give him one last roll of the dice bidding to go back-to-back in Scotland.

8/1
Revich Win or Each Way

13:30 Newbury – No Half Measures

It could be a good day for the Richard Hughes / Ryan Moore combination and they get us underway with an improving three-year-old in NO HALF MEASURES. She looks like she’s nowhere near her ceiling rating yet, and while Annaf set a clear standard, he needs to improve dramatically from his reappearance run at Haydock. That may leave the door open for this young improver to stake a claim in the sprinting division.

7/1
No Half Measures Win or Each Way

13:50 Ayr – Enjfaar

The Roger Varian runner ENJFAAR has been in sparking form in this campaign with a big victory at York followed by an unlucky second at Goodwood. He seemed to take the step up in grade in his stride last time and has been found an ideal opportunity to regain the winning thread back down in Listed company.

3/1
Enfjaar Win or Each Way

14:05 Newbury – Our Golden One

OUR GOLDEN ONE has come along way in a short space of time this season, taking a 16lb hike in the weights. it was a very strong effort in a hot handicap at Goodwood and certainly looked as if the extra yardage won’t go amiss. She is growing and strengthening into that big frame of hers and with the 7lb three-year-old allowance, could capitalise.

7/1
Our Golden One Win or Each Way

14:25 Ayr – Summerghand

SUMMERGHAND was so unlucky at the Curragh last time, only getting going when the race was over. If he had not given away his position so easily early on, he would’ve possibly managed to scrape into the Ayr Gold Cup later. He’s the class act in the field and Danny Tudhope knows him exceptionally well.

8/1
Summerghand Win or Each Way

14:40 Newbury – Whip Cracker

WHIP CRACKER is not short of pace having won over the long sprint discipline of 7f before.  He does look as if this 10f distance is within his range. Providing he settles better after his gelding operation, he can leave his last effort in the Britannia H’cap at the Royal meeting behind, for Hughes and Moore.

7/1
Whip Cracker Win or Each Way

15:00 Ayr – Sky Majesty

If you were only to look at the result, you would see that SKY MAJESTY managed just a short head victory on debut 23 days ago. However, watch the replay and Callum Rodriguez had things in control in a hands and heel ride to snatch victory on the line.

Improvement is required, but it should be forthcoming.

9/2
Sky Majesty Win or Each Way

15:15 Newbury – Powerful Glory

Richard Fahey has an excellent record in this race when sending one to it. It should be noted that he aims POWERFUL GLORY at it, off the back of one demolition display at Pontefract, last time on debut. The team can also be rewarded for their patience, as he wasn’t ready to attack the Royal meeting. That gently, gently approach can be backed up now as he matures into the finished article.

9/4
Powerful Glory Win or Each Way

15:35 Ayr – Aramis Grey (each-way)

ARAMIS GREY had a torrid time at Windsor when bumped quite significantly leaving the stalls and had a luckless passage throughout the final quarter-mile. Despite this, he finished third. The form is boosted since with the winner that day Elmonjed winning a competitive handicap York.

Aramis Grey deserves a change of luck.

25/1
Aramis Grey Win or Each Way
