Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

13:42 Ayr – Bowen Island (Sporting Times)

Despite his 7lb penalty, Hamilton winner Catalyse is respected after finishing in midfield in the Coventry Stakes. However, Kevin Ryan holds a strong hand to enhance his recent record in this race. BOWEN ISLAND is just given the nod over stablemate Jorge Alvares, having run so well for a 33-1 shot when fourth of 17 in the traditionally strong Convivial Maiden at York last month.

15:12 Ayr – Eternal Sunshine (The Sun)

Whisky McGonagall is a possibility back off his last winning mark with a tongue-tie now given a go, but it’s hard to oppose ETERNAL SUNSHINE in her current mood and she is taken to make it five wins from her last seven starts. Sugar Hill Babe is closely matched with her on last month’s Musselburgh running, so he may provide the main danger.

15:42 Ayr – Pol Roger (The Scotsman)

The 3yo Aviemore won emphatically at Chester last Friday and an 8lb higher mark (including his penalty) shouldn’t preclude another big run. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see a bigger effort from Marhaba The Champ, but six of the last eight runnings of this have gone to a 4yo. Have Secret had three of these behind him at York last month. But the vote goes to POL ROGER, who has been consistent since May (1122223) and whose record over this C&D reads 11222.

16:15 Ayr – Cheshire Dancer (Racing Ahead)

Seven of the last eight runnings of this have gone to a 3yo. Dancingwithmyself is respected in her hat-trick bid despite a 6lb higher mark. But, preference is for CHESHIRE DANCER, who was attempting this trip for the first time when runner-up behind an unexposed and progressive rival at Sandown last time. She is now 3lb higher but remains open to further improvement over this trip.
