Being unexposed over 7f and an interesting type returningto AW, CLIPSHAM LA HABANA (nap) could well record a first win since joining Alice Haynes. Forever A Diamond, back at her likely optimum trip, is second choice ahead of Al Ameen and Soar Above.

The majority of the runners are making their way to handicaps and MAHATO looks to have found the ideal opportunity on his return to action. He looked pretty useful winning over this trip on debut and there were excuses for his 7f defeat at Newcastle in November. Dancing Sapphire is narrowly preferred to Believe It in the remainder as Richard Hannon’s newcomer Zip It Up isn’t an obvious sprinter on pedigree.
19:00 – Beyond Words
She faces some interesting 3yos this time but 4yo filly BEYOND WORDS looks likely to progress further and is taken to follow up her Southwell success. Midnight Drive (second choice) commands major respect back at this C&D, while Mbappe, Shelbourne, Appeal To Glory and Zipster also bring good claims.
19:30 – Shader
The manner of his Southwell win suggests SHADER is capable of defying a 7lb penalty. Al Ameed (second choice) and Cadogan Place are the biggest dangers on form. Market confidence behind interesting newcomer Fireblade, the selection’s stablemate, should be heeded.
20:00 – Warmonger
The two most interesting runners are WARMONGER and Clockwatcher, with the preference for the former who produced his best form yet at Southwell recently despite having to give best to another progressive stayer. Clockwatcher has potential at this trip and should be dangerous in receipt of weight, if holding his form, while Howth is on a winning mark back on AW and also has possibilities.
20:30 – Budding
Seraphic and Pablo Prince come into it on their recent Windsor run but Darkzideofthemoon could be the biggest danger to BUDDING, who will be suited by moving away from softish turf and should go well if in anything like the form of her Windsor effort in May
