SILVER GHOST has progressively gotten better with each and every start and bumped into a potential group race performer when finishing second last time at Newmarket. She looks like the intermediate distance 6.5f is going to suit her well and she can handle the extra nudge from the assessor up to a mark of 82.
14:25 Caburn
CABURN has already bagged one of these big-money races at Newbury and did incredibly well at York last time, considering he was on the wrong part of the track in the high numbers which was like running on treacle. He’s going to sit somewhere towards the top of the market and can get another big pot in the bag for his trainer, Jack Jones.
15:00 Desert Flower
DESERT FLOWER looked fairly decent on her debut. She then looked like she could be a top-class performer with a demolition job on her second start, when not fully extended to win by a very easy 6 1/2 lengths. Up in grade here, she looks ready to maintain her 100% record.
15:35 Nakheel (each-way)
NAKHEEL put up a decent performance last time at York, staying on for third. Looks as if the extra yardage is going to suit, and added to that, the team thinks she is keeping a little bit back for herself, so they’ve added the headgear. She does have a little to find on the official figures, but is in receipt of a whopping 10lb in the weight-for-age allowance.
16:10 Fox Legacy
FOX LEGACY has been given a huge 16lb hike by the assessor for his demolition job at Salisbury last month. It was interesting that jockey Ryan Moore set him for home a long way down and didn’t let off the accelerator at all. That could’ve gotten him firmly focused on the job in hand and while he is in tougher company now, he looks ready for the bigger test.
