15:10 Leicester – Formal (Racing Ahead)
While the newcomers need a check and others have shown some promise, this looks like a two-horse race between FORMAL and Orchid. Both have the Group 2 Rockfel entry. Orchid is also in the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile following the bold show she produced against a hotpot of Saeed bin Suroor’s at Kempton. Still, Formal made a very positive impression at Newbury and is given the vote despite having to concede 6lb.
15:44 Leicester – Starzintheireyes (Racing Post)
Although Spirit Of Summer has the Group 2 entry and has his sights lowered after his run at the York Ebor meeting, ready preference is still for STARZINTHEIREYES who has the best form and left the best impression with his second at Newmarket two months ago. Binhareer looks to be the newcomer worth most attention.
15:52 Catterick – Scarboroughwarning (Racing Post)
Brazilian Rose did well to win at Lingfield and dropping back to 6f won’t harm, but conceding 9lb to SCARBOROUGHWARNING won’t be easy. The selection reverts to the trip over which she ran her best race yet. Oligopoly would make them all go if replicating his second at Doncaster but he’s becoming hard to predict.
17:23 Newcastle – Philanthropist (The i)
Far From Dandy, Shamador, and Talismans Time are notable newcomers, and the betting should provide clues. Impartiality has leading claims judged on his debut effort, but PHILANTHROPIST took a step forward at Yarmouth last month and remains capable of better.
