15:58 – Miss Nightfall

Off a favourable weight and with Oisin Murphy booked, MISS NIGHTFALL looks poised to open her account at the third attempt. The C&D winner Fleetwater (second choice) warrants respect, while Thecoffeepoddotco and Help From Above are also in the mix. Sayidah Dariyan looks the pick of the debutantes and will be particularly interesting if the market speaks positively.

16:30 – Thursday

The two standouts from a handicapping perspective are THURSDAY and Devizes, preferred in that order. The selection appears to have a cracking chance back off her proper mark, while the second choice looks well treated back on turf. Largo Bay may repeat last year’s effort and prove best of the remainder.

17:00 – Addosh (NAP)

The suggestion is ADDOSH (nap) on only her second outing for a trainer whose recent winners include recruits from other yards. Mrembo, who won this race in 2023, is feared most ahead of Fullforward, Gilbert and Stintino Sunset.

17:30 – Shrimp Shady

Calyxoh sets the standard on his near-miss at Newmarket 17 days ago and he should have more to offer on this step up in trip. Archie’s Angel is respected under a penalty for his comfortable debut win at Haydock, while Gap Year also enters reckoning after his three promising efforts since May. However, preference is for SHRIMP SHADY, who only just failed to catch a front-running rival at Kempton last month and is open to plenty of progress upped to 1m.

18:00 – Last Outlaw

Exponista (second choice) drops in grade and could go well with a tongue-tie now added, while Infinity Blue is better than he showed last time and Cypriot Diaspora would be a danger to all if any rain arrives. The vote goes to LAST OUTLAW, however, with Michael Wigham’s unexposed 3yo making his handicap debut at a realistic level. He still looked green when winning at Leicester in July and there should be a fair bit more to come back at 6f.

18:30 – Adace

Easily the most solid contenders on recent form are ADACE and Daisy Roots, with slight preference for the former who has a good record over this C&D. Some of the 3yos, most notably handicap debutante Gold Minx, may be capable of improvement.

19:00 – Bobacious

Kameko’s sister Upton could still have a bigger effort in her but Renesmee and BOBACIOUS may be the pair to focus on. The selection should appreciate the return to 1m2f and could enjoy the run of the race. If ground conditions deteriorate then Lawn Ranger would come into the reckoning too.

19:30 – Betweenthesticks

Agostino (second choice) and Jungle Run should go well but the addition of a tongue-tie has had a positive effect on BETWEENTHESTICKS and he still has plenty of handicapping scope despite a 2lb rise for his recent AW success.
