14:22 – Pride Of Nepal

PRIDE OF NEPAL hasn’t been with Tony Carroll long, but he cemented the good start he’s made for this stable when ending a losing run stretching back more than two years at Goodwood last week, travelling fluently and just pushed out to score comfortably. He remains fairly treated on old form following a 4 lb rise, and is preferred ahead of V Power, who is holding his form well and is next best ahead of Fen Tiger.

14:52 – One For Harvey

Julia Fielden doesn’t have many two-year-old runners, but ONE FOR HARVEY was backed at long odds, and displayed ability when finishing third on her debut at Kempton in July, just unable to go with the first two, one a newcomer and one who had the benefit of experience and has won since. That form will make her competitive in this field, especially with improvement forthcoming. Acrisius has been placed in a couple of similar events of late and is the obvious threat.

15:22 – Kaleidoscope Eyes

A trappy nursery in which KALEIDOSCOPE EYES edges the vote on the back of her excellent third at Windsor. That was an improved display on her handicap debut and, with that form having been franked, she is worth siding with again. Recent course third Rosy Hope could emerge as the main danger, although in-form pair Cassandraalexandra and Broadhaven Bay can have a say, too.

15:52 – Oj Lifestyle

OJ LIFESTYLE had seemingly been going through the motions, but dropped in grade, and fitted with first-time blinkers, he ran his best race for a while to resume winning ways over this course and distance last month. He won with a fair bit in hand that day, and if the headgear has the desired effect again, he seems sure to go very close. Shaw Park and Ten Commitments rate the principal dangers.

16:22 – Clear Justice

CLEAR JUSTICE proved better than ever when landing back-to-back handicaps at this course in June and July, doing so impressively on the latter occasion, so he is taken to leave his latest effort behind as he drops back down in trip. He can gain his third success here, with course and distance winner Havana Mojito also worth forgiving her latest run and feared most. Otago is the pick of the remainder.

16:52 – The Waiting Game

THE WAITING GAME rattled a four-timer off on the all-weather last year and she has been holding her form well so far this season, running her best race when runner-up at Pontefract last month. She remains below her last winning mark, and is fresher than most for the time of year, so she seems sure to launch another bold bid. Nogo’s Dream and Warriors Dream can also make their presence felt.

17:22 – Alfred Cove

ALFRED COVE’s latest effort over this course and distance was excusable, given he was caught in the centre of the track while the main action transpired over on the far side, and he’d been in excellent form prior to that, so he takes marginal preference over last-time-out winners Nordic Glory and Bernard Spierpoint.
