If CLARENDON HOUSE comes out of the stalls – unlike his last two starts – he should have enough class to see off this field.
14:25 Sandown – Doha (each-way)
The drop in trip for Tamfana doesn’t bother me and she looks the one to beat. However, Ralph Beckett’s DOHA looks a better value play as she has rock-solid form and from a price point of view, she’ll do for me.
14:40 Chester – Under Siege
Warrior Brave got stall 13 and doesn’t have the luck of the draw to rely on around this tight track. UNDER SIEGE looks unexposed and from stall three can track Percy’s Lad and get competitive at the business end. He can take a step forward to win this.
15:00 Sandown – Sean
SEAN for Jamie and Saffie Osborne appeals to me in a race that doesn’t look overly deep on likely winners.
15:15 Chester – Caius Chorister
Absurde is a rare enough runner at Chester for Willie Mullins outside of the May meeting and should have improved for his seasonal debut on the Flat at the Curragh recently. He may improve for this too. However, CAIUS CHORISTER for David Menuisier and James Doyle look the ones to beat.
15:35 Sandown – Hott Shott (each-way)
The Group 3 Solario Stakes over 7f is the feature race of the day and I’m hoping HOTT SHOTT can hit the frame at a nice price. Hopefully all eight runners go to post. Field of Gold, who is near the top of the market, might not fancy the away day.
