13:30 Beverley – Walter Hartright

ITV Racing its back Saturday from Beverley, Chester and Sandown starting here with a handicap over 1m4f. Some horses in tremenous form here. Many will think the winning run of WALTER HARTRIGHT is well and truly over after his defeat at Chepstow last time but I’m not so sure. For a horse who can make all he is well drawn in stall 4 and the ground might have been against him last time. Added to which he was beaten by a better horse and was softened up on the front end by Bizarre Law. Ray Dawson has a big chance for Ed Dunlop.

13:50 Sandown – Accidental Agent

Sandown coverage on ITV gets under way with this handicap over 7f. A wide open event. ACCIDENTAL AGENT was never placed to challenge on his comeback but his run was not as bad as it might look and he could be a huge price. The former Group 1 Queen Anne hero returned behind Lethal Levi at Newbury and has been dropped 1lb for his effort. It was eye-catching and he’s chucked in off 91 with Mia Nicholls taking off 5lb. He was on 99 when running really well at Chepstow last season and while he’s 10 years old now there is no reason why he can’t make a show.

14:05 Beverley – Commanche Falls

Here’s a Listed Sprint in the Bullet over 5f. Clarendon House could walk this – but he’s been walking out the stalls of late. For that reason I’ll settle with COMMANCHE FALLS who should get a perfect lead from Democracy Dilemma and he can pick that rival up close home. My selection has been a fabulous servant for Michael Dodds and ran well when last seen in third of a big field at York. Paul Mulrennan is on top.

14:25 Sandown – Tamfana

Here is the Group 3 Atalanta Stakes for fillies and mares over 1m. Hard not to be all over TAMFANA in this for Oisin Murphy and David Menuisier. I have never felt she’s a stayer and her fourth in the 1,000 Guineas was a fabulous effort – on another day she might have won. Since then she’s performed well over a mile and a quarter and a mile and a half. Back at this trip she surely will be too good.

14:40 Chester – Revich

ITV starts at Chester with this handicap over nearly 1m. REVICH has done nothing for a long time now, but his handicap mark of 91 is tasty should he return to form at a track he loves. The Richard Spencer-trained runner was rated 95 when third his last season and 92 when scoring here in May last year. He’s now weighted to return to form under Oisin Orr. The draw could have been a little better.

15:00 Sandown – Sean

A handicap over 1m2f. SEAN is knocking at the door and while his handicap mark of 108 is not a gimme he might be able to pick this lot up under Saffie Osborne for her old man Jamie. He seems to go on any ground and his third at Windsor was a fine effort. Hopefully there will be a strong pace for him to aim at.

15:15 Chester – Samui

Here’s a Listed race over an extended 1m6f. This is decent. Caius Chorister needs to return to her best to score and has been too free of late and didn’t finish off at Goodwood although I think she had a virus that day. Absurde has an obvious chance for Willie Mullins but I’ll risk SAMUI for Gordon Elliott and Oisin Orr again. The Ebor second stays well and is improving and while he kept on well at York he was never quite close enough to land a blow. Could be more to come.

15:35 Sandown – Field of Gold

Now a Classic trial in the Group 3 Solario Stakes for youngsters over 7f. John Gosden has farmed this race in years gone by and hopefully he can take his again in partnership with his son Thady. They saddle FIELD OF GOLD under the excellent Kieran Shoemark, and there is no doubt the Juddmonte inmate made a huge impression when scoring at Newmarket last time. The well-rated colt cost 530,000 euros as a foal and like his sire Kingman he’s going to love going a mile in time so should run right to the line. The Newmarket fourth won at Ascot next time.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
