Most of these find winning hard these days. ALICE’S IMPACT has been admirably consistent since handicapping, and makes the most appeal down at a classified level. Elettaria was close up behind the selection last time and she’s feared most with Miss Calculation.
15:35 Musselburgh – Evelyn’s Phoenix (Racing Post)
The most solid option appears to be EVELYN’S PHOENIX (nap), ahead of More Than A Feelin, with the former holding a good chance to register a fourth summer win, despite thee wide draw. The late headway made by Miners Gamble over 1m on AW last time puts him on the shortlist.
16:25 Catterick – Lady Phoebe (Daily Mail)
An open race where the vote goes to 3yo LADY PHOEBE, who finished well to go very close over 1m 4f at Hamilton two weeks ago, and is open to more progress at this new trip. Twoforthegutter, who has form figures of 31132 since the end of May, is feared most ahead of hat-trick seeker Jamih and recent hurdle winner Ambassador. Sonning also makes the shortlist along with Can Can Girl and The Resdev Way.
16:35 Musselburgh – Monhammer (The Irish Field)
The situation is complicated by Braes Of Doune who carries a penalty for yesterday’s win here if turning out again. If he’s absent, the one to take advantage may be MONHAMMER, who did not see daylight early enough in the race won by the former at Ayr 16 days ago, but plenty are in serious each-way contention, including Showtime Mahomes who is 2-2 at Musselburgh.
