18:25 Stratford – Onemorefortheroad
This can go to front-runner ONEMOREFORTHEROAD, who had a bit too much use made of him on his last two appearances but may not need to work as hard to dominate in the early stages here and has quickly become well-handicapped on his spring form. Rotten Row backed up his course win in June with a good effort at Cartmel last month and is the second choice, while Grey Skies can feature if a recent wind op proves successful.
18:38 Lingfield – Tadreeb
Lady Dreamer has been running well lately and remains unexposed over this far, while Ultramarine is 9lb below his last winning mark and has caught the eye in his last two starts on turf. The Bitter Moose is another for the shortlist, given he is 2-2 on the AW, while the maiden Sheila’s Paradise looks interesting back on an artificial surface. The unexposed Scarboroughwarning is another solid contender, but it may be worth taking a chance with TADREEB, who dropped 17lb lower than for the latest two C&D wins at the start of 2022.
18:45 Bellewstown – Air Force One
A competitive sprint handicap in which cases can be made for many. Heart Of Darkness is the least exposed, and this maiden winner should have finished closer in a Listed race, but Billy Lee seemingly prefers the chance of stablemate AIR FORCE ONE, who was perhaps unfortunate not to win here last time. Harry’s Hill is likeably consistent, and the handicapper has finally granted him some relief. Last year’s runner-up, Polar Bear, was too well-treated to put a line through despite his recent troubles. Transcendental is also on the shortlist.
19:08 Lingfield – Sir Rodneyredblood
Big Bard has been going well lately and is high on the list, while Arlecchino’s Gift is worth a second look back on AW. However, there is a chance that SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD will enjoy an uncontested lead, and he could take some catching now that he is back off his last winning mark.
19:25 Stratford – Reteti
Ronnies Rules won two C&D bumpers fairly comfortably last month and is the obvious starting point, but this race looks more competitive, and there are some exciting alternatives. Fiskardo was a close third on the previous month’s Uttoxeter debut, while Remus is a newcomer from a stable with a good record in bumpers. Still, the suggestion is RETETI, who was not himself when well beaten at Huntingdon in March and is of solid interest if judged on the form of his debut there in November.
19:45 Bellewstown – Baltic Bird
Though disappointing over hurdles at Galway five days after a cracking runner-up effort in a valuable 2m handicap there, BALTIC BIRD is forgiven that and can score. The stablemates Glan and Royal Eagle can be players.
