He started 4-6 that day for George Boughey and was claimed afterwards. Square D’Alboni may be a threat judged on his market position at Doncaster, where he got upset in the stalls.

A bit more of a waiting game can see SUMMER OF LOVE (nap) win her first handicap at the third attempt. Sterling Knight may be the chief threat, but there are positives about all of them.

There are clear negatives and positives with this field, and the most solid option may be HOT FASHION, who turned over a new leaf when a significant change in tactics saw her delivered late from off the pace to winning effect at Sandown last time. Celtic Warrior may be the next best, following his fourth at Glorious Goodwood.
15:52 – Lord Melbourne
Dropped back in class, LORD MELBOURNE should have a big say and is taken to defy top weight. The chief danger may emerge with a late challenge from bottomweight Bug Boy, who won well over C&D last July, while last month’s C&D Ladies’ Derby winner Gordon Grey has never been better, and he must be on the shortlist. Aikhal is also seriously considered.
16:25 – Atlantis Blue
George Baker’s mare ATLANTIS BLUE came up short in her hat-trick bid last time but made good late headway and remains of interest. She gets a narrow vote over Unreal Connection, who went so close over C&D last time, with Amancio and Big Bear Hug also likely to be seriously involved.
17:00 – Dream Of Mischief
This looks competitive and brings tactical complications with the number of would-be front-runners. DREAM OF MISCHIEF and Marlay Park may be the chief candidates to come from off the pace, as they did over C&D ten days ago, but the latter is drawn widest in a big field this time. Redredrobin (second choice) and G’Daay are still well-treated on last year’s form, while Shot Of Love and Guiteau could also play a prominent part.
