14:25 – Bank On Kent
BANK ON KENT remains a maiden, but he’s showed ability on more than one occasion, and arguably ran his best race to date when finishing a close third at Kempton 13 days ago. He did well to get to the lead from a wide draw on that occasion and a similar sort of performance could be enough to see him open his account. Premium Pass and Blue Point Express head the opposition.
14:55 – Berkshire Nugget
This doesn’t look like the strongest race of its type and it is an excellent opportunity for BERKSHIRE NUGGET to open his account. He’s had several opportunities to do so but he is used to keeping better company than this, with a few solid efforts to his name in some useful handicaps this season. He wasn’t seen to best effect on his latest start and it will be disappointing if he isn’t able to get his head in front here. Newcomer Saigon Dream could be the one for the forecast spot.
15:25 – Anna Of Saxony
This is just a modest contest and preference is for ANNA OF SAXONY, who is much less exposed than the rest after just five career starts, and she has shaped well in two handicaps so far. Both of those efforts have come over further, but she shapes as though this drop in trip will suit, do she is given the tentative vote to come out on top in an open affair. Foinix has to be feared bidding for the hat-trick under a penalty, with Fascinating Lips another to consider having eased further in the weights.
16:00 – Mon Etoile
MON ETOILE has held his form well so far this year and he ran well in a stronger race than this over course and distance earlier this summer. He went well in a first-time visor last time and he is chanced to belatedly get off the mark after another decent showing at Lingfield. Angel On High’s good run of form came to an end at Bath last time but he’s worth another chance.
16:30 – Clear Justice
CLEAR JUSTICE pulled his chance away when bidding for a hat-trick at this course last time and that affected his finishing effort. His previous win came over this course and distance and he is well worth another chance to resume winning ways in the hope he settles better back down in trip. Aljadel, the other three-year-old in the line-up, can go well again, while Waleyfa could be interesting starting out for the Kubler yard. River Wharfe and Letter of The Law both won classified events here recently but need to find a bit more on these terms back in a handicap.
17:00 – Dion Baker
DION BAKER is two from three under Darragh Keenan, taking advantage of a reduced mark at Leicester last week, and he is expected to follow up turned out under a penalty. Shaw Park has thrived here this summer and is respected back at Brighton, while Tea Sea could go well with his Lingfield return under his belt.
