17:10 Yarmouth – Kracking
Good support for the lightly raced Embroidered Cloth, who went off short prices for his first two runs, would give things a different slant. Otherwise, KRACKING is the one to beat, despite carrying a penalty, having bolted up from the front for Tyrese Cameron at Salisbury last Wednesday.
17:25 Windsor – Niloufar
Each of the three older horses can call upon a fairly recent victory but this may rest between the 3yos Royal Blaze and NILOUFAR. The former should benefit from faster ground and the return of headgear but Niloufar is a filly on a roll and she may not have reached the ceiling of her ability just yet.
18:10 Yarmouth – Frinton
Qatar Wave showed a lot more in these aids at Nottingham, but her style of racing is not geared to the new trip and FRINTON and Star Time are preferred in that order. The former ran well for a long way on his Windsor debut and looks the type to do better, while Star Time has claims on his debut form.
18:25 Windsor – Inversion
Brave Call, Al Ameed and Forest Gate all have something to recommend them. But there may be greater improvement lurking in No Retreat and INVERSION. No Retreat’s debut effort looks better now than it did at the time and he’s greatly respected but Inversion could take a good step forward over today’s extra distance.
19:10 Yarmouth – Fletcher’s Flight
Soul Seeker and Majeski Man (second choice) can both figure prominently but FLETCHER’S FLIGHT has an air of unfinished business about him and this drop to 5f could be the catalyst for a bigger effort.
19:25 Windsor – Batchelor Boy
Darkened Edge still has potential but a 6lb rise for her win in a small field at Bath last time could leave her vulnerable. Exceed (second choice) also comes here on the back of a win but he’s held by BATCHELOR BOY on earlier Yarmouth form and the booking of Oisin Murphy suggests connections mean business this evening.
