14:03 – Brilliant Light
An intriguing maiden hurdle. Immelmann will probably go off favourite given who trains him but others have better form on the level. BRILLIANT LIGHT was placed in a Group 3 for Godolphin and he showed an aptitude for this game at Galway. He can take this if building on that encouraging run. Stablemates Zefania and Fremantle Doctor have solid form and could go well, as could Getawiggleon and Someone’s Wish. Arthur’s Victory is one to note at bigger odds.
14:33 – Mater Matuta
Plenty of these have questions to answer. The most solid option looks to be MATER MATUTA. She is in-form, she has won twice here over fences and she will appreciate the drop back in trip. Small Money was well-backed after a long absence last time and could come on for that run and Blackstone Cliff has each-way claims. First reserve Chutzpal won well on the Flat last time and would be a leading contender if getting a run. Longhouse Star is a potential improver now getting better ground.
15:03 – Suttons Hill
Coole Cherry is proving expensive to follow but Paul Townend sticks with her in preference to Where’s Nanny, winner of a bumper here on her only start. However, SUTTONS HILL has achieved a higher RPR over hurdles and is preferred, despite not having run in over a year she has run well fresh in the past. Marv Michael has fitness on his side and cheekpieces are tried so warrants respect.
15:33 – Space Tourist
Willie Mullins holds a strong hand here in the shape of A Penny A Hundred and SPACE TOURIST, the latter having the benefit of a recent run over fences and the pick of Paul Townend. On hurdles form the pair are comfortably clear of the likes of Miss Tempo and Miss Agusta, both of whom already have had chances over fences and look to be fighting for the placings.
16:03 – Garde La Peche
Several thoroughly exposed types here, one notable exception being GARDE LA PECHE (nap), who surely has more upside in her on only her third start chasing. Friday’s hurdles winner Tullyveery Lad will be a big threat if turning out again, while Natural Breeze, Lake Chad, The Abbey and Room To Roam could compete for the placings.
16:33 – Falcon Park
Recent Wexford winner FALCON PARK is taken to follow up and confirm form with the third-placed Prince Of Air. Recent Flat winner Itsalonglongroad and Wexford second Ricky Langford are others to consider.
17:03 – Diamond Tipp
The Willie Mullins’ pair Marie’s March and El Fabienne will be near the head of the market but the latter has been turned over twice already at skinny odds. Patrick Mullins prefers her ahead of her well-bred stablemate. Belle Le Grand and the locally trained Annie Hope Harriet are worth keeping an eye on in the market but it might be worth taking a chance on DIAMOND TIPP. Her yard is in form, she showed promise on debut at Cork and she should improve with that run under her belt. Music Of Life and Whitewinewednesday are others with place claims.
