15:55 – Aerospace

It will be interesting to see what the market makes of the two hurdling newcomers here. Largy Texas represents a trainer who does well when visiting these shores and it would be no surprise to see the gelding have a big say.

However, the blue-blooded AEROSPACE perhaps makes a more immediate appeal and he can use his Flat speed to gain a debut success. Of those with hurdling experience, Fairmac could prove the pick.

16:30 – Southey

Several in here with claims include Byron Hill, Polling Day and United Front, who are all capable of getting involved. Cabra Lady is an interesting hurdling debutant who could have a big say but preference is for SOUTHEY, who is improving and may well have the pace to make a successful drop back to this trip.

17:05 – Carnfunnock

Mahons Glory might be high in the weights, Dripsey Moon may prefer softer ground, and both Eyeofthescorpion and Garde Des Champs are out of the weights.

Parisencore (second choice) is well handicapped on this summer’s course win but preference is for CARNFUNNOCK, who ran as well as he was entitled to behind a superior rival last time and should be suited by this return to further.

17:35 – Bishop Hill

Malangen (runner-up last year) and Sword Of Fate are Perth regulars but could prove vulnerable to more upwardly mobile rivals. The suggestion is to focus closest on Honneur d’Ajonc, Beau Della and BISHOP HILL.

Iain Jardine has his string in fine fettle and also won this last year, so his lightly raced mare interests from a fair opening mark, but a slight preference is for the Lucinda Russell-trained runner who knows this course well and could be poised to make the breakthrough.

18:05 – Ballyrashane

A low-grade affair which lacks a standout. The George Bewley pair Lights Are Green and Breaking The Ice (second choice) are possibles, along with Ruth Jefferson’s Miss Watchit who has fared a bit better since returning from more wind surgery. However, if revitalised by a three-month break, the lowly weighted BALLYRASHANE could make the others go, having made the long journey north from Christian Williams’s Glamorgan base.

18:35 – Kinbara Firstdraft (NAP)

A cracking feature. The Summer Hurdle hero Castel Gandolfo (second choice), Enthused (with Oslo closely matched) and the five-timer seeking King’s Castle bring strong form. However, the Northern Irish contingent could provide the winner, given the potential of Annie Agnew and particularly KINBARA FIRSTDRAFT (nap), who looked a fair way ahead of his mark when making a winning handicap debut over C&D in June.

19:05 – Bullion Boss

Solway Molly and Unspeakable aren’t the most predictable but could easily have a say, while Dalileo (third last year) knows his way around Perth. Nowinittowinit ran well in a 0-130 chase last time, so he merits respect alongside the tempting Western Run (second choice) who sneaks into this 0-105. However, such has been the application shown by BULLION BOSS since a visor was introduced, the Nicky Richards-trained runner offers the safest option.

19:35 – King Roly

The pick of the newcomers could be Stroked given that her yard has such a good strike rate in British bumpers but market support would be welcomed. As things stand, this is probably best left to Worcester fourth KING ROLY.
