Showmethewayhome is much less exposed than most of these and has to come into the reckoning back over C&D but it might be worth giving another chance to last year’s winner RETIREMENT BECKONS. His form has been rather up and down this year but he’s had some excuses and this will take little winning. Aspire To Glory is next on the list.
16:40 – Aviemore
The three-year-old AVIEMORE may provide the answer. He would not be denied when challenged here four weeks ago and it’s interesting that Charlie Johnston had him in a hot handicap at Glorious Goodwood only for fast ground to scupper that idea. Pol Roger looks vulnerable to something better handicapped but he shouldn’t be far away, along with Yorkshire Lady.
18:15 – Dingwall
The penny dropped for DINGWALL up in trip in a first-time hood over C&D last time and there should be more to come from this 3yo. Ledger beat We Still Believe a couple of times at Hamilton in May and he may have the edge over his rival once again now that he steps back to a more suitable trip, and is the main danger.
