14:10 – Pontefract – Highwaygrey (Scottish Sun)
Tim Easterby holds a very strong hand with in-form trio HIGHWAYGREY, Just Hiss and Burglar’s Dream. Preference is for Highwaygrey, who won here for the fifth time when beating Burglar’s Dream over C&D ten days ago. Last year’s winner Just Hiss is feared most, while V Twelve could also be involved.
14:25 – Brighton – Grace Angel (Racing Post)
This race might go in favour of GRACE ANGEL, who has become very well handicapped on some of last season’s form and ran better than the bare facts suggests when fourth at Chester recently. Night On Earth is unlikely to enjoy an uncontested lead here, but may still make a bold bid from the front and is feared most.
15:10 – Pontefract – Godsend (Yorkshire Evening Post)
The progressive GODSEND tackles this trip for the first time, but he looks a thorough stayer, and is taken to win his fourth race of the season. Yorkindness, who has won three times over C&D, is next best.
15:55 – Brighton – Charming Whisper (Racing Post)
The suggestion in today’s featured race is progressive 3-year-old CHARMING WHISPER. His usual patient tactics make him reliant on a well-judged ride, had some luck, but he followed his two June wins with a creditable fourth in a competitive race at Newmarket last month and probably still has more to offer. Blenheim Star also has a very appealing profile and is earmarked as a likely danger. Dream Of Mischief is next on the list.
