The last time out course winners Grizabella and Onebrightbluerose should go well again off their revised marks and Be My Hero is another one with some decent Wexford form in the book. However, preference is for DEPECHE MO. Eric Larkin’s charge has run well in all three handicap hurdles he has contested here previously and with a talented claimer taking off 5lb, he is effectively 6lb lower than when fourth here back in May. The Empty Kettel is another one with a chance.
17:23 Kempton – Leyhaimur
Being ahead of the assessor, Ffos Las runner-up LEYHAIMUR looks poised to go one better. Lilly’s Bet, whose C&D effort has substance, is feared most ahead of Ellomate who is another solid contender on form.
17:30 Sligo – Shavasi
A shade disappointing turnout for the money on offer. Beechwood has to be greatly respected on her second start for Paddy Twomey and her first in a handicap, but slight preference is for the sole 3yo in the field SHAVASI, who shapes as though this trip will suit. No Niki No and La Dame Blanche also hold strong claims on recent form..
18:32 Sligo – Gloriously Glam
Only the Mulvany pair, who ran respectably at Galway, have run in a nursery so this is dead tricky. GLORIOUSLY GLAM will handle an ease in the ground and her maiden form is decent, so she gets the vote with the addition of headgear likely to help. No Straight Swaps, who has shown a nice level of ability and is well drawn, makes plenty of appeal too while Brigid’s Cloak and Bamako, whose trainer’s runners are always to be respected here, are just a couple of many more with a chance.
18:45 Wexford – General Clermont
A veterinary excuse was offered for GENERAL CLERMONT after his Kilbeggan lapse. He gets the vote based on his previous Limerick win, with the main danger likely to come from Malton Groove who shaped encouragingly over C&D last month.
19:55 Kempton – Stacey Racey
A 6lb penalty for making all in a small field last midweek will test the exposed All Agleam and preference is for STACEY RACEY, who looked ready for another attempt at this trip when going close over 6f here a month ago.
