There could well be more to come from ROGER HENRY, who is taken to defy top weight. Beautiful Crown (second choice) and Charlie’s Choice are solid contenders on 2024 form, while Red Treasure is interesting in the retained blinkers.

The different surface and shorter trip are slight concerns for HEAT OF PASSION after a powerful handicap debut win at Southwell last week but she looks well ahead of her mark even with a penalty. There are question marks on most of her rivals, and one danger Dashinwhitesargent is also engaged at Ffos Las, so perhaps Historic City can prove the main danger, ahead of Ashariba and handicap debutante Windcrack.

The draw has done its worst again, but DALMALLY still looks the one to beat, after his encouraging debut third over 6f here. Jack Andrea has run a similar level in both his 7f starts and is arguably a safer bet than Chesneys Charm of those with experience, the latter having failed to confirm his debut promise on his second start. The newcomers, especially Channagide, need a look in the market.

The vote goes to GREEN ICON who looks sure to improve on his Nottingham effort. No Release, perhaps the most interesting newcomer, is second choice. Metro Dubai is the form pick but doesn’t look one to take a short price on.
19:47 – Mayo County
Provided the widest draw proves no hindrance, Maverick Style looks a major player. MAYO COUNTY is an interesting alternative with progress possible returned to AW, while Heerathetrack (second choice) holds solid claims on his course form this year. Several others also have possibilities in a fairly open contest.
20:17 – Rosy Hope
There’s a solid look about ROSY HOPE, who ran respectably behind subsequent winners on her latest outing. Son Of Wind, who has a similar profile, is second choice ahead of interesting nursery newcomers Top Star and Fly Liberty Fly.
20:47 – Doves Of Peace
Assuming he returns from a layoff in top form, DOVES OF PEACE appears to have his best chance of getting off the mark. Fai Fai is feared most on these terms, ahead of La Verite.
