17:13 – Lord P

There are a few with a chance, including Danzart and last week’s Ayr winner Biplane, but it could be worth taking a chance on LORD P to repeat his win in this race three years ago.

My Chiquita is in decent order at present and she looks sure to run well, but preference is for MARBUZET, who won at Doncaster last month and returns to a lower grade after finishing a fair fifth at York since. The other contender worth a mention is Achnamara, who has won his last two starts.

18:20 – Hot Team

Sameem has an obvious chance for a trainer-jockey combination who combined to win this in 2019, and Detective (second choice) has to be high on the shortlist for a yard that’s done so well in this race in the past, but HOT TEAM will be suited by the forecast rain and gets the vote under Saffie Osborne. Bohemian Breeze and handicap newcomer Graze On Phoenix are also in the reckoning.

18:55 – Jewel Maker

Not many in top form here, the notable exception being JEWEL MAKER, who can make it two wins from his last three starts by beating Hostelry and Finn Russell.

19:25 – Elettaria

Little Ted is in fine form, having won at Musselburgh before losing out narrowly on the AW, but preference is for ELETTARIA, who has had valid excuses for her two defeats since returning from a break and is just 1lb higher than her AW win in September. Amazing Winnie won at Doncaster in June and is another to consider.

19:55 – Alice’s Impact (NAP)

It’s unlikely most of these would want too much rain but that shouldn’t be a concern with ALICE’S IMPACT (nap), who’s the only one open to improvement upped a fair 2lb for her Beverley win. Captain Corelli and Haalim rate the main dangers, while 2021 winner Chinese Spirit remains capable of popping up.
