The selection made the frame on her nursery debut at York and looks ready for 7f. Dollyana could be the danger if back in the same form as for her novice win, though Tactical Plan isn’t dismissed lightly and Herecomesthebear is one to monitor in the market ahead of his nursery debut
16:05 – Funny Story
Very progressive 3yo Al Shabab Storm cannot be opposed with any confidence but his two course wins this summer were both gained over 7f and he’s not sure to be seen to quite the same effect back at 6f. Perhaps it might pay to give another chance to FUNNY STORY, who has a point to prove after last month’s substandard run but has a pretty solid record at Listed level. Emaraaty Ana will find this easier than the Royal Ascot Group 1 he contested last time and is next on the list.
16:35 – Telemark
This will take some winning. The eyes are drawn to class act Never So Brave (second choice) after a respectable run in a Group 3 at Royal Ascot and Topanga has to be of interest when she’s a 3yo filly arriving here on the back of a career best. Another for the shortlist is TELEMARK who held his own in Group company at two and, after winning well at Thirsk, plenty went wrong at York. Those who like to lead are unlikely to have it all their own way up front.
