TEMPORIZE comes in here on the crest of a wave and will be very hard to kick out of the frame over this 2m 4f trip. He’s straightforward, races up with the pace, and stays all day. He’s very progressive. I’d be interested in playing the forecast/tricast markets as it’s such a specialised trip. For those interested, Super Superjack should be primed for this and handles the trip and track. Spirit Mixer can be in and around the places.

‌14:25 Dancing Gemini

DANCING GEMINI interests me back over a mile. He didn’t stay the Epsom Derby trip over 1m 4f, and while he’s bred to stay a longer trip – all his best form is up to a mile, including when second at Longchamp in May. The drop in class and trip can see him return to his best.

15:00 Darkness

‌David O’Meara is mob-handed in this one-mile handicap and DARKNESS is the pick. He was fourth in this contest last year and won well at Newmarket two starts back before a credible fifth in the Bunbury Cup when events conspired against him. I wouldn’t discount his other runners to hit the places either, particularly Rhoscolyn, who is a multiple winner at this venue.

15:35 Big Evs

Asfoora won at Royal Ascot, beating Big Evs, who reopposes into third. I think BIG EVS, who won here last year, can reverse the form with the Aussie sprinter and the faster the ground the better his chance. He’s all speed and was just outstayed at Ascot. Goodwood should suit him better.
