I like VOLANTIS for Ross O’Sullivan. His horses have been flying for months and he’s had a couple of winners at Galway this week. He was second on this race last year and he’s only ran twice since. He had a spin at Roscommon in July to set him up for this. He’s a strong traveller and I can’t see him finishing out of the places.
18:00 – Moonovercloon
I was really sweet on MOONOVERCLOON in the Midlands National last month but he only got as far as the third fence before falling. He’s had four runs over fences and if he can get around, he’s well handicapped and he can go close.
19:40 – Positive Energy
I like POSITIVE ENERGY, who caught the eye last time out in a handicap at Killarney. He’s now running off a mark of 68, which is 7lbs lower than his original rating earlier this year. He should enjoy the Galway track and he’s got a lovely draw in stall seven.
Rory Delargy:
18:00 – Francky Du Berlais
The Galway Blazers sees FRANCKY DU BERLAIS travel over for the Bowens and despite being an 11-year-old now he’s still well handicapper and should be suited by the good ground. Brian Hughes is booked to ride and the 2m 6f trip and stiff uphill finish at Galway will suit him very well.
