13:50: Handicap
RORY: FRENCH DUKE is the obvious one for Roger Varian with James Doyle on board. He shaped better than his sixth in the King George Handicap at Royal Ascot last time out.
Another worth looking at is MASTER BUILDER, who beat Subsequent at level weights at Salisbury and is in here now getting weight.
He has decent form and I’m happy to ignore his run at Kempton last time out. He’s a good value pick for David Menuisier, who tends to line his runners up for these Goodwood races.
14:25: Oak Tree Stakes
RUBY: JABAARA’S second in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket is the best form on offer and she’s the best filly in the race.
I have doubts over Kathmandu and Breege so it’s hard to go against Roger Varian’s runner.
RORY: Jabaara’s second in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket is decent form but she was holding on in the end.
STOP THE CAVALRY could be an outsider to keep an eye on. It’s a big step up for her but she was impressive when winning a Handicap at Chester last time out. She’s well handicapped but she might want some rain so there’s a dig in the ground.
15:00: Molecomb Stakes
RUBY: Aesterius ran well at Ascot but he’s well found in the market but I like USDI ATOHI, who disappointed at Naas a couple of runs ago. She bounced back and won at Tipperary and Ryan Moore is booked to take the ride.
RORY: I’m with USDI ATOHI for Donnacha O’Brien. She impressed on her debut but failed to follow that up at Naas in May, however, everything went wrong for her that day.
She’s got natural pace and she bounced back when winning at Tipperary last time out. Ryan Moore is on board too which is always a bonus.
