13:50 – French Duke
FRENCH DUKE gets the application of the hood to help him settle better as he was incredibly free in the early stages of his race at the Royal meeting. He did incredibly well to still hold every chance at around a furlong and a half down and surely that run can be upgraded provided he gets a little bit of cover in the early stages this time.
14:25 – Fair Angellica
FAIR ANGELLICA didn’t seem to last out the stiff mile at the Royal meeting in the Sandringham, but bounced back to form in no uncertain terms over in France back down over the long sprint distance.
That was clearly a career best and she may have to continue up that ladder now. But back in against some seasoned campaigners she is heading the right way.
15:00 – Asterius
ASTERIUS has done little wrong in his three races so far and granted a stronger pace to run at he probably would’ve been more impressive up the hill at Sandown.
Back on a much quicker and sharper 5f this afternoon, and being in such a big field, means that rocket gallop can see him step up again.
15:35 – Maljoom
In the hope the blinkers have the desired effect, MALJOOM could prove up to the task now we have a depleted field.
Notable Speech took advantage of a fast 2000 Guineas and Henry Longfellow couldn’t get the job done when the tactics played perfectly into his hands. The race now has an incredibly open look.
