14:30 Weissmuller

WEISSMULLER‘s fourth behind Ain’t Nobody in the Windsor Castle Stakes, where he was also first home on the far side, is easily the best piece of form on show in this maiden, and he’s hard to oppose for Archie Watson and Hollie Doyle.

Motawahij also drops in class from Royal Ascot, where he pulled hard before finishing in the rear in the Chesham Stakes. He is next best ahead of the once-raced Symbol of Strength, who badly needed the experience on his debut at Beverley in May.

15:05 Biplane

BIPLANE has been knocking on the door lately for John Wainwright and might be able to get her head back in front, dropping back to six furlongs after going down by a short head to Create at Doncaster last time.

Highland Olly was only sixth in the same race as the selection last time but will be a threat if recapturing the form he showed when second to Kodi Red over six furlongs there prior to that. Recent course-and-distance scorer Sound of Iona also merits respect as she remains well treated on old form.

15:40 Platinum Girl

PLATINUM GIRL gets the nod to build on her encouraging reappearance for Tim Easterby after ten months off when a head second to Abruzzo Mia at Thirsk a couple of weeks ago, leading until edged out close home.

On A Session was sixth in that Thirsk race but only beaten a couple of lengths and would have gone closer still but for meeting trouble. He can fill the forecast spot ahead of He’s A Gentleman, who was a neck second to Al Muqdad over course and distance earlier in the month.

16:10 Stressfree

STRESSFREE ran a cracker in a deeper race than this at York last time, finishing third behind Karmology after having to weave his way through. With Danny Tudhope taking over the reins, he can notch a first win of the campaign for David O’Meara.

Like the selection, Soowaih leaves the impression he’ll be winning sooner rather than later after he too ran well at York last time when a neck second to Lieber Power in an apprentice race and is second choice ahead of Pol Roger, a dual course-and-distance winner in May.

16:45 John L Sullivan

It was a muddling race in which JOHN L SULLIVAN finished fourth of five behind Jazz Scene at Hamilton last time. He’d won at Wetherby prior to that, and Lucinda Russell’s three-year-old is taken to resume his progression and make it two out of four in handicaps.

Medici Pass will be a danger if ready to roll after four months off after winning twice on the all-weather in March, while David O’Meara’s Spring Festival rates a possible improver in handicaps and is one to note in the betting.

17:20 Water Of Leith

Jim Goldie’s course-and-distance winner, WATER OF LEITH, made an encouraging return from a break here a couple of weeks ago when fifth behind stablemate Sound of Iona and can build on that and resume winning ways.

The same stable’s Cuban Rock arrives on the back of a game win at Hamilton under apprentice Amie Waugh, who keeps the ride and is second choice ahead of Ramon di Loria, who was runner-up over six furlongs behind Eternal Sunshine here last week.
