Enfjaar could easily bolt up but I’m going to leave him at the prices. Two appeal to me: AERION POWER & SIR BUSKER. Ryan Moore is riding the former for Sir Michael Stoute. You can forgive his last run at Royal Ascot but he won well before that at Nottingham.
The 1m2f distance and the Goodwood track should suit him. Ryan will make a late move on him and he could pick off a few runners.
Sir Busker has placed in Group 1 company and he’s been high on the handicap for a long time. He has a win and two seconds at Goodwood and he’s a classy runner on his day.
Brandon Wilkie is on board and claiming 5lbs too so I’ll keep the William Knight runner on side.
14:25 – Wolf Of Badenoch
WOLF OF BADENOCH for Hugo Palmer is interesting. He won on his debut at Doncaster and although he’s got a lot to find, his win was impressive.
He won without Jamie Spencer getting serious with him. He can show improvement and I’m open to backing him at a solid price.
15:00 – English Oak
Kinross was disappointing in the July Cup at Newmarket last time out and although he could win, I’m with ENGLISH OAK. He won the Buckingham Palace at Royal Ascot last time out and he’s on for a hat-trick. He’s progressive and connections believe they’ve got something special on their hands.
15:35 – Kyprios
KYPRIOS won the Ascot Gold Cup last month in a cracking race. He’s as good as he ever was and he’s as game as ever too.
He probably won’t be flashy so I’m not sold on backing him to win by a few lengths but he’ll get the job done. Sweet William could follow him home.
