13.50 Ascot – Handcuffed
I quite like the Royal horse HANDCUFFED. She did well to win at Newbury earlier this month when looking very green. The fast ground will suit her and she finished the race really strongly. She’s a good value pick.
14.05 York – Bayraat
This race is for jump jockeys so we all know what’s going to happen – they’re going to go too fast as there are no obstacles! It’ll suit horses that come from off the pace and BAYRAAT is worth keeping on side. He ran a very good race at Haydock last year and this should be run to suit him.
14.25 Ascot – Soprano
SOPRANO was a good winner of the Sandringham at Ascot over course and distance in June. She’s a good filly and we know she likes this track. There’s a lot to like about the George Boughey runner. She was unlucky when third on soft ground at Sandown last time out but the ground will be more to her liking this time.
14.40 York – Ferrous
I’m sweet on FERROUS for Jack Channon with Connor Beasley on board. The team are in good form at the moment and if you rule out his poor run in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot, his form is solid. His third behind Lethal Levi at Newbury was a great run and he won twice before that.
15.00 Ascot – Carrytheone & Fresh
This is a very competitive race and I like a couple of runners. CARRYTHEONE has been unlucky in his last couple of runs after winning at Newmarket in May. Pat Dobbs is back on board after winning on him that day. He’s a worthy favourite and he can get back to winning ways.
I also like FRESH, who ran a cracker when second to Jarraaf at Ascot earlier this month. He always runs his race and he’s worth keeping on side.
15.15 York – Kings Gambit
Passenger heads the market but I’m siding with KINGS GAMBIT. He was an unlucky loser at Royal Ascot. He’s a good horse and he can make the step up with ease.
15.40 Ascot – Rebels Romance
Auguste Rodin, who bombed out in this race last year on different ground, heads the market but I have my doubts over him. I’ll back REBELS ROMANCE, who has travelled the world and won huge races. He’ll handle the ground and he could be a bit of value against the short-priced favourite Auguste Rodin.
