The Listed British EBF Lyric Fillies’ Stakes (19:50) tops the bill at York as Frankel filly Ejaabiyah bids to make the most of the weight-for-age allowance to scoop the top prize of £39,697.
The feature at Cork’s evening meeting is the Doneraile Handicap (18:00), which sees Power Mode attempt to defy a 5lbs rise in the weights for a recent success at Naas. Royal Ascot winner Burnett Road returns to the Flat after a spell over timber in the Class 2 John Guest Racing Handicap (15:35) with Epsom Derby 10th Tabletalk among the opposition. There are also fixtures on the level at Sandown and Thirsk.
Magellan Strait, the winner of the 2023 Irish Cesarewitch, is given a second try over flights in the Hurley Family Maiden Hurdle (19:25) at Kilbeggan. Uttoxeter stages the day’s other Jumps meeting.
