It was a major step forward from GRANNS BOY when last seen over hurdles and he looks capable of going well arriving here on the back of a career best Flat run. Tonaghneave Well can continue on his upward curve and Rampere West should be in the mix if he jumps better this time.

19:25 Magellan Strait

Former Irish Cesarewitch winner MAGELLAN STRAIT should be much sharper for his recent hurdles debut when a mistake at the last probably cost him second, and will need to be around this tighter track. He can reverse Cork form with Beaufort Scale, who was also making his hurdles debut at Cork. Strictly on hurdles form Native Speaker holds the aces but his form was on much softer ground and he lacks a recent run.

20:00 Banjaxed

Last year’s winner Pakens Rock has to bounce back from a couple of below-par runs here but is still respected. Presenting Lad comes into the mix on his Tipperary run although this trip is an unknown. The selection is BANJAXED, a likely improver now upped in trip for handicap chase debut.
