14:40 – Easy Peeler

EASY PEELER is bred to be useful and she produced a promising first effort when runner-up to one who had the benefit of previous experience at Ripon earlier this month. That pair finished some way clear of the remainder in a race run in a good time, so it’s form to take positively, and she should be hard to beat if improving from that initial experience. Lunar Force, who improved plenty on her debut form when second at this course two weeks ago, can pose the biggest threat.

15:10 – Chuti Manika

CHUTI MANIKA is related to several winners and is from a family that the yard had success with in the past, so it was encouraging to see him shape well on his debut when runner-up at Ayr this month. He knew his job, soon in the lead and was headed only by another promising newcomer who was ridden more patiently in the closing stages. That experience shouldn’t be lost on him and he sets a good standard in this field. Tactical Plan heads the dangers, ahead of Toy Soldier and Harvesting.

15:40 – Harmonia

HARMONIA finished well beaten on her first three starts in maiden and minor company, but she attracted support on a handicap debut at Beverley last week, and duly showed improved form. She left her previous efforts behind and can probably be marked up further for her effort given she fared best of those who were ridden prominently. She was only edged out narrowly by another improver on that occasion and she’s a big player able to race from the same mark given she has even more to offer. Beauhaather should give it a run and Shielas Well has shown signs of promise to date.

16:10 – Sir Garfield

SIR GARFIELD has looked an improved model this season, opening his account over this course and distance a fortnight ago, displaying a good attitude on ground softer than he previously encountered. He shaped as though still in top form at Redcar three days ago, sticking to his task having been up with the pace throughout, and seems sure to launch another bold bid turned out quickly from a good draw. My Honey B should give good account, and Langholm is likely to be right back on his game, on the back of an excusable run.

16:40 – Roger Henry

ROGER HENRY has shown improved form since entering handicaps, opening his account at Chelmsford in April and proving better than ever when resuming winning ways over a mile and a quarter at Beverley last week. That was just his third start for this yard and he won with some in hand, with his jockey able to ease him down at the finish. He makes plenty of appeal turned out under a penalty now moving up to a trip that should suit. Knights Affair, another last-time-out winner who is going the right way, may be the biggest danger.

17:10 – Soul Singer

SOUL SINGER and Highjacked both found one too good last time and they’re likely to be involved again. Preference is for the former, who has fewer miles on the clock and arguably ran a career best last time, so he’s taken to do better, while King of The Jungle is certainly capable of making his presence felt if the race is run to suit.
