Five Winds might well bounce straight back from her below-par run last time and Felicity (second choice) doesn’t look too badly in for her handicap debut. However, MILLIETHEMOLLIE bumped into an improving rival last time and she’s taken to post her second career win.
14:30 Winning Point
Sprinting could be the way forward with WINNING POINT who did far too much too soon over further when seemingly not unfancied at Haydock. Lady Pagasa has had enough chances but she too could benefit from this drop back in distance. Twisted Tiara can’t be ruled out, while Triumph Of Peace and Argentali are likely improvers.
15:00 Candy
Most of these look to hold chances but CANDY could be the sharpest improver on his handicap debut. Not a lot went right for him at Sandown last time. There’s a suspicion that Amerjeet hasn’t yet done himself justice and he’s second choice after being gelded. Rotation is third on the list despite it being only a seller that he won last time.
15:30 Clever Currency (NAP)
Provided he takes to the new headgear, CLEVER CURRENCY (NAP) might well go one better than on last week’s stable debut at Yarmouth. Miss Sligo (second choice), Foinix and Iftikhaar are fairly reliable propositions in races of this nature.
16:00 Forever Proud
The Gary and Josh Moore-trained Daphne May and Marayel are both of interest, especially the former who won when last running in a similar contest, but the more reliable option is FOREVER PROUD who is more consistent and was second in a similar race two weeks ago.
16:30 Delta Legend
It looks like another win is round the corner for King Of Scotia but DELTA LEGEND may have the edge after his two wins over C&D and a recent creditable placing. Red Treasure ran well in first-time blinkers on turf last time and has place claims.
17:00 Resonance
Hoornblower looks sure to be all the rage here after swooping through from the rear to score decisively over C&D last month but the leaders went off too quickly and the race was set up for a finisher. He may not get this race run to suit and a chance is taken instead on RESONANCE who is still a maiden but open to improvement. Rogue Soldier also has scope for progress and has claims.
