14:10 Cartmel – Flashthelights (Daily Record)
Trailblazer avoids a penalty for his surprise win at Perth last week and is still lightly raced over hurdles but this can go to FLASHTHELIGHTS, who produced a very good performance to beat a big field at Punchestown two starts ago and was not discredited when third at Cork last time. Headstrong 8yo Shuil Donn comes with risk attached but is not yet fully exposed and might also feature.
15:20 Cartmel – Dynamite Kentucky (Racing Post)
Several of these warrant consideration in a competitive race for the grade but the suggestion is DYNAMITE KENTUCKY, who looked back in good nick when running a big race in defeat at Bangor last month. City Derby bids to complete a course hat-trick and is second choice, while Boomslang and Shantou Champagne also make significant appeal.
15:40 Ayr – Zaphea (Telegraph)
The headstrong filly ZAPHEA flopped at Hamilton nine days ago, but was in good form previously and will be tough to beat if back on song in this modest contest. La Boo ran well last time and is next on the list ahead of C&D winner Pinpoint, who wears first-time cheekpieces.
17:18 Windsor – Spirited Dancer (The Guardian)
This looks very open. A chance is taken on SPIRITED DANCER who can be excused her latest effort in a soft-ground Listed race. Ran Amok (second choice), Ruff Justice and John’s Dragon are all respected coming here on the back of breakthrough wins.
