This looks very open. A chance is taken on SPIRITED DANCER who can be excused her latest effort in a soft-ground Listed race. Ran Amok (second choice), Ruff Justice and John’s Dragon are all respected coming here on the back of breakthrough wins.

18:30 Beverley – Toptime

Plenty to consider in a competitive sprint handicap, headed by TOPTIME who’s looked at the top of his game in two runs back on turf this summer. Winning machine Golden Rainbow is fancied to confirm Carlisle placings with the wide-drawn Exceed and is second choice.

18:50 Windsor – Houstonn

Richard Hannon’s HOUSTONN ended his 2yo campaign with a couple of close calls and was a respectable fifth in a Newbury maiden on his return in May. He sets a clear standard on his peak efforts and can make his breakthrough on this first run after a gelding operation. William Haggas won this race in 2018 and 2020 and his Raheen Rode is feared most ahead of Royal College and the interesting newcomer Glorious Landscape.

19:20 Windsor – Bona Fortuna

Plenty have possibilities but top of the list is the unexposed 3yo BONA FORTUNA, who found plenty of progress when scoring on his stable debut at Brighton and looks on a fair mark now switched to a handicap. Hat-trick seeker Sixties Chic is feared most, although recent C&D winner Lahina Bay is respected along with Watchya, who made a bold bid off a reduced mark at Epsom 11 days ago. Others to consider are Nogo’s Dream and Grenham Bay.

19:30 Beverley – Alices Impact

Clotherholme, who’s hard to win with and something of an expert at finding traffic, and habitual slow starters Elettaria and Rum Runner, all tend to come from off the gallop, which may pose problems given it’s hard to see where the pace is coming from. That aside, the lightly raced ALICES IMPACT is given the opportunity to build on her improved Doncaster effort.

20:00 Beverley – Miss Billie

If enjoying the run of the race as when making all over C&D last time, Twilight Jazz could take some catching, but it may be worth siding with MISS BILLIE, who showed plenty more when a running-on fourth at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago. Any improvement on that back on turf would give her every chance. Marton Heads ran his best race so far here last time and may appreciate the drop in trip.
