14:00 Rudi’s Apple

Rudi’s Apple has the best form on show and can carry top-weight to victory in this 6f Nursery. I’d be surprised he he’s not carrying a bit more than 9st 12lbs every day of the week at home.

14:35 Heavenly Power

The heart says Heavenly Power but the head says Tango Flare is the danger. Drawn in stall 5 here, I thought Tango Flare looked bang in form last time out. I’ll let my heart rule my head here though.

15:05 Believing

UK challenger Believing is the most likely winner under Ryan Moore but Valiant Force might be a bit of value and might have improved a good bit. Believing has been rock solid with that good run at Ascot. He’s the likely favourite and likely winner.

15:40 Lope De Lilas

The surprise is that Ryan Moore has opted for Content over Port Fairy and that’s significant. Content has moved into favouritism as a result. Lope De Lilas seems in good form and I think the draw has been favourable to her. I’m hoping she’s good enough to win, we think she’s a really good filly. There’s talk she should have been entered in the Prix de l’arc de Triomphe!

16:15 Vauban

Vauban ran at Royal Ascot but didn’t stay the 2m 4f trip. He seems well at home but I just wonder will this come too soon after that run? I’m cautiously optimistic though.

16:50 Lord Church (NAP)

Lord Church can carry the 9lb penalty as he chases the four-timer. The step up in trip to 1m 2f can help too. He’s my NAP of the day.

17:25 Nunc Est Bibendum (each way)

A little left field maybe but Nunc Est Bibendum can prove aptly named in the lucky last in this 7f maiden. I thought he ran okay at Gowran Park and that race worked out okay. In an open race she could have improved enough to be in the shake up each way.
