18:10 Pontefract – Scatter Penny

This race should revolve around the two leading form contenders in American Style and SCATTER PENNY. The latter made a bright start with her comfortable win at Nottingham and that form was boosted when the clear second scored by 6l on his next outing.

19:00 Newmarket – Rosy Affair (NAP)

A bigger field and likely good pace should suit the progressive ROSY AFFAIR, who came home strongly to grab Ananda near the finish over C&D three weeks ago on the step back up from 5f. Has ducked both ways leaving the stalls and looked something of a slow learner, but she’s progressed well and made it 2-2 on turf last time out, a further 4lb rise may well be manageable.

19:10 Hamilton – Kalpana

Last month’s Ribblesdale third place finisher KALPANA probably still has more improvement to come and can collect this prize before moving back up in grade. The Yorkshire Oaks-entered filly has made rapid progress since her winning debut in January; unable to justify favouritism when upped to Group 2 at Royal Ascot (1m4f, good to firm) in June, but ran very well and has chance at the weights here.

19:55 Pontefract – Wen Moon

The one who appeals most here is WEN MOON, who is back on his last winning mark (5f, soft), and didn’t get any luck as an eye catching third at York last week. Goes back up in grade but he’s a big player if he gets the breaks.

20:20 Hamilton – Twoforthegutter

Hamilton hat-trick seeking TWOFORTHEGUTTER ahead of three-time Hamilton winner Spanish Hustle looks to be the most likely outcome. His two wins were only by a neck, but he seems to have turned over a new leaf, and travelled much better over 1m 5f in his latest win.
