Classy Flat recruit TYSON FURY could prove hard to beat if avoiding serious errors on hurdles debut.
17:32 – Redwood Queen
Having gone up an aggregate of 32lbs since May, REDWOOD QUEEN looks to have found a good opportunity outside of handicap company here and this easy 2m4f should give her every chance of staying. In a tidy little contest, last year’s winner Presenting Doyen, along with Instant Tendance and Lady Rita look likely to battle it out for the runner-up spot.
18:02 – La Hacienda (NAP)
Much improved when romping home at Sligo last time LA HACIENDA (nap) has been hit with a 12lb rise but remains nicely in compared to her Flat rating and gets the vote to follow up. Plenty of dangers though, headed by the likes of Optional Mix, Major Barry and Wandering Rocks.
18:37 – Cloudy Fountain
Despite slight ground concerns CLOUDY FOUNTAIN gets the vote, rain would further strengthen her claims. Recent form gives both Papa Barns and Craic Eile definite chances, while A Mere Bagatelle has to be respected back hurdling off a favourable mark. Spellacy’s Cross remains a potential improver.
19:10 – The Names Jock
This looks tricky. THE NAMES JOCK was entitled to have been rusty on his first hurdles start for 22 months at Listowel and has twice run well on the Flat since, so is selected. Recent winners Contrapposto, Baltinglass Hill and It’sallabouteve are respected, with Red Glow and Fascinating Shadow likely players too.
19:42 – Hey Boy
Not many make much appeal so HEY BOY is taken to make a winning debut for the dominant force in Irish bumpers. Daring Move and Not Now Darling are other interesting newcomers. Gather Yourself looks the best of those with form.
20:15 – El Fabienne
It could be worth giving EL FABIENNE another chance on return. She might have found the ground too soft when a beaten favourite at Fairyhouse last December. Point winner Sporting Glance looks a likely contender while Ballysax Hank hasn’t been beaten far in two of his bumper starts.
