If the ground remains on the soft side it wouldn’t be a surprise if Spirited Guest and/or Onemorenomore were to run better than their latest form figures would suggest they might. However, this may be between a couple of progressive 3yos in Rockymountainway and ARKHALIA FLYNN. Both won last time out and each has run well on a slow surface, but the latter won with more in hand at Haydock last time than the head margin would suggest, so is taken to continue his rise up the ladder. Fellow 3yo Daring Legend is also respected if handling the likely ground conditions.

19:00 Ffos Las – Lakers

Preference is for LAKERS, who made a promising start with his third behind a Godolphin hotpot at Yarmouth two weeks ago and sets a fair standard on that form. The other runners with experience have plenty to find with the selection but there are some interesting newcomers who need a close look including Zayer (second choice) and Clive Cox’s Baather.

19:10 Yarmouth – Angel Mac

Kaolinite and Masterofgreygoose have already shown ability in their first three starts and should go close again, with the latter the preferred of the pair back over this trip. However, they don’t set a daunting standard and there are some interesting newcomers up against them. The Eyes Have It has to be respected on debut for her powerful yard, but ANGEL MAC is just preferred as there is enough to like about her on pedigree and her stable had a 3yo go in first time here last month.

20:10 Yarmouth – Fletcher’s Flight

There should be another big run in Moreginplease who chased home an unexposed and well-backed winner here last week over 7f. She should be fine back over 6f, though the same should be true of FLETCHER’S FLIGHT who led for a long way in that race before wilting late on and he’s 4lb better off with the runner-up. Willowbank has shown enough to believe she can win races at this level.

20:30 Ffos Las – Inappropriate (NAP)

Most of these have something to prove but INAPPROPRIATE (nap) has a progressive six-race profile and he went close in a similar race at Nottingham 11 days ago. He remains feasibly treated off his revised mark and should have more to offer at this trip. Celebrating Ethel looks the biggest danger.

21:00 FFos Las – Easy Equation

Tarbat Ness (second choice) has finished runner-up at Ripon and Carlisle in his last two starts and he’s strongly respected. Kissininthebackrow looks interesting off a sliding mark at this new trip, while Thahab Ifraj and Triple Nickle also enter the reckoning. However, the vote goes to EASY EQUATION, who has a solid record for his current yard and is only 1lb higher than for his close call at Pontefract last month.
