18:00 – Grecian God
None of these are convincing, and it looks like a race to tread carefully with. Crafty Spirit (second choice) is high on the list back down in class, while Frankie Valliance’s Leicester form is not easy to assess but offers hope he’s been let in lightly. GRECIAN GOD would have finished closer to Crafty Spirit here seven weeks ago had his momentum not been checked at a crucial stage and he could yet rate higher with his yard going along nicely.
18:30 – Forager
Love Is The Law and Beauty Nation are newcomers of note, while Tequila Rose has won a race and will find this more suitable than the Listed event she tackled last time. Lilly’s Bet (second choice) is a major player after a good run at Newbury but FORAGER looks the one to beat. Simon Pearce’s filly travelled strongly through her Yarmouth debut last month before tiring close home and she should be more streetwise with that experience behind her. Fourth, sixth and 11th wins have already boosted that form.
19:00 – We Sea You
Mystical Elegance, Eighth Avenue and Never The Twain finished second, third and fourth over 7f here last month but neither of the first two took much of a step forward on their next starts and perhaps WE SEA YOU can confirm the promise shown behind useful contemporaries at Newbury. Alla Stella is also considered but Dancingintherain is an interesting newcomer who may well be second best.
19:30 – Media Shooter
Rosa Applause, Drama and True Promise are respected but this may rest between Tennessee Gold and MEDIA SHOOTER. The former should get a good pace to aim at and his C&D win in May marked him down as one who could hold his own in stronger company than he took care of that day. Media Shooter has run well in all three starts at Kempton though and his latest run in a hot York handicap suggests he’s still in top form.
20:00 – Fairy Glen
Wanderlust and Al Haal are open to improvement with their debuts behind them but this may rest between Beeley and FAIRY GLEN. The former has been found a good opening in theory but it’s slightly offputting to see headgear reached for and the Crisfords’ filly may be able to give the weight away. She was still learning her job when winning at Wolverhampton in January and the longer trip can spark further progress from her.
20:30 – Grand Duchess Olga
An open race with several options. The fitting of a tongue-tie could prove significant for Wannabe Brave (second choice) who couldn’t complete the four-timer here in June but may yet prove capable of better. Slight preference is for GRAND DUCHESS OLGA, though, as she was quite impressive in the way she won on her course debut and may have more to come on this track. Pons Aelius and Solid Silver are also considered.
21:00 – Chico Dulce (NAP)
A market move for Avarice would look significant as he drops in class but as things stand this looks good for CHICO DULCE (nap). Stepping up to 1m2f saw him run out a ready winner at Lingfield last month and that form has been boosted since. His dam was a middle-distance winner and there could be further progress over today’s extra furlong. Bond Spirit (second choice) and McCann The Man look best of the rest.
